A Rare Bone is an item introduced in Generation IV.

Description

Rare Bones are valuable items with no purpose other than being able to sell them at a high price, usually 5,000, reduced to 2,500 as of Generation VII. In Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, a Rare Bone can be sold to a man on Route 18 for 10,000, twice the usual selling price. In Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, there is a character in Stow-on-Side who will take the item at an even higher price of 11,111.
