Protosynthesis (こだいかっせい, Kodai Kassei?, lit. Ancient Activation) is an Ability exclusive to ancient Paradox Pokémon, introduced in Generation IX.
It is the ancient counterpart to Quark Drive.
Description

| Generation IX | If the Pokémon is holding Booster Energy or when the current weather is harsh sunlight, the Pokémon will boost their highest stat by one stage. |
Effect
Photosynthesis increases the Pokémon’s highest stat by 30% or 50% if speed if Harsh Sunlight is active or the Pokémon is holding a Booster Energy.
