Pierre is a scientist who, with Marie, had to determine Sudowoodo's type. Despite their arguing, they managed to examine one Sudowoodo and concluded that it uses Mimic to copy moves. The revelation that Sudowoodo ran from water led them to confirm that Sudowoodo is a Rock-type.

Marie and Pierre are the names of the chemists Pierre and Marie-Curie Sklodowska.
