Concept artwork of Perrin.
Perrin's features and stature convey a composed yet adventurous personality. She has a slender and athletic build, suggesting agility and confidence, with a posture that radiates focus and curiosity—traits fitting for someone constantly on the move and observing her surroundings. Her facial features are sharp and expressive, with defined cheekbones, narrow eyes, and a subtle, self-assured smile. Her eyes are a pale shade, giving her an alert and analytical gaze. Perrin's hairstyle is one of her most distinctive traits: her short, straight hair transitions from deep navy blue at the crown to a vivid, mint green at the tips, tied into a short ponytail at the back. A long section of hair falls over the right side of her face, softening her otherwise sleek appearance. She also wears medium-length nails that end in a square shape and are a barely noticeable white color due to her pale skin. Together, her stature and facial details project an image of calm competence mixed with a hint of playful independence.
Her clothing reflects practicality blended with a modern, edgy aesthetic. Perrin wears a cropped, sleeveless black top with wide shoulder straps, exposing her belly button and allowing freedom of movement. Over one shoulder, she carries a dark utility-style backpack secured by a strap across her chest. Her light-blue skinny jeans are high-waisted and feature black accents, including belt loops, seam detailing, and a side strap attachment for gear. She wears sturdy black-and-white hiking boots with thick soles, perfectly suited for outdoor exploration. A smartwatch adorns her left wrist, and she often carries a large professional camera with a leather strap—emphasizing her role as an observant documenter or photographer. The combination of her outfit's functionality and sleek design mirrors her adventurous, modern, and observant nature.
Personality
Perrin is a playful, easygoing, and friendly young lady. She, however, once felt she lost her spark in her photographer career, believing she no longer had the passion to be a photographer herself. Luckily, she regains her passion after her experience with the player helps her recall her initial enjoyment for photography.
Biography
The player first meets Perrin in Mossui Town while on their Kitakami school trip, where she has come to take pictures of a certain Pokémon: a special Ursaluna known as the Bloodmoon Beast, which arrived to Kitakami from her homeland of Sinnoh.
Once the player registers 150 Pokémon in the Kitakami Pokédex, Perrin will battle them to see their strength, before telling them about the Bloodmoon Beast she is searching for. She tells the player that the Ursaluna has been sighted at Timeless Woods and asks them to meet her there.
In Timeless Woods, Perrin gets attacked by a wild Ariados but is ultimately saved by the player, who helps her set up a tent before waiting for a foggy night, during which the player needs to photograph 10 different species around the Woods. During this, she tells the player about how she used to be a successful photographer, but has been feeling like she has lost her spark for photography, so she hopes that getting photos of the Bloodmoon Beast would get her back on the road with photography. Eventually, the player finds the Ursaluna Perrin has been searching for, and she goes to take a photo of it, but her camera's flash angers the Bloodmoon Beast, forcing the player to battle and eventually capture it. Perrin goes back to Mossui Town to get her photos developed, but they end up coming out blurred and out of focus. Despite this, she says she has regained her passion for photography thanks to her experiences with the player. She will then give the player one of her Hisuian Growlithe to take care of and a Choice Scarf.
During the Indigo Disk, the player can meet Perrin again at the Blueberry Academy's Terarium, where she has come to get promotional pictures for the academy. She says she has a "hot tip" for the player but decides not to share it with them until they have registered 200 Pokémon from the Terarium. Once they do so, she shows them photos of previously unknown Paradox Pokémon sighted in Area Zero within the Great Crater of Paldea and asks the player to find them for her; Scarlet players will be able to catch Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt, while Violet players will be able to catch Iron Crown and Iron Boulder instead. Once the player has caught one of the two or both species of their version, they can head back to Perrin, where she takes pictures of the species they have caught. She then rewards the player with a Sport Ball before going back to her work.
Trivia
- Perrin is able to use both of her hands to perform tasks; being able to use her camera with either her left or right hand.

- Perrin has special dialogues related to the Growlithe she has entrusted to the player during the Teal Mask at the Terarium:
- If the player hasn't evolved the Growlithe by the time she and them meet again, she will encourage the player to consider adding the Growlithe as a part of their team and go on adventures with it.
- If the player has already evolved the Growlithe, Perrin will be impressed, and is happy to have her own Growlithe reunited with the player's Arcanine.
