The Intriguing Stone is a key item introduced in Generation VI.

Effect

In X and Y, it is to be shown to Gurkinn, who identifies it as an ordinary rock. The Intriguing Stone then can be given to a Hiker in Shalour City in exchange for a Sun Stone.

In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, after showing it to Mr. Stone in Devon Corporation building, he identifies it as a Pidgeotite. The Pidgeotite is then given back to the player.
