pokemon

The Explorers are a mysterious organization that are the sworn enemies of the Rising Volt Tacklers, appearing as the main antagonists in Pokémon Horizons: The Series. Their goals and motivations seem to revolve around the mysterious pendant and an ancient Poké Ball currently owned by Liko and Roy respectively, which they are set on stealing and even kidnapping to unlock their secrets.

Originally, the Explorers were founded by Lucius, Rystal, and Gibeon 100 years ago.

As of the end of "Where the Adventure Leads", Spinel has now taken over the organisation following Gibeon's demise.

100 years in the past, Lucius decided to team up with Gibeon and Rystal to search for the paradise, Laqua. They soon named their group the Explorers and set forth to search for the paradise in question.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Amethio first arrived at Indigo Academy when the long break was beginning. He asks one of the staff members about the whereabouts of Liko, who was staying at the campus for the break. He introduced himself as a "messenger" for Liko's Grandmother who would like her pendant returned. Seeing his reasons as suspicious, Liko decides to take the good luck charm with her and run away.
